Ohio is set to become the first state in the country to offer digital driver’s licenses to its residents through Apple Wallet. To use the digital driver’s license, residents will simply need to unlock their device and present it to an authorized individual, such as a law enforcement officer or TSA agent, who can then scan the digital license using a secure reader. The digital license will also feature a unique dynamic barcode that changes every time it is accessed, adding an extra layer of security to prevent fraud and counterfeiting.
