Warren County Driver License Office to Reopen After Months of Closure
After months of closure due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Warren County Driver License Office is set to reopen its doors to the public. The office, located in the heart of downtown Warren, has been closed since March 2020 in an effort to curb the spread of the virus. However, with strict safety measures in place, the office is ready to welcome back residents in need of driver’s license services.
The closure of the driver license office left many Warren County residents with expired licenses, making it difficult for them to carry out essential tasks such as driving to work or running errands. Additionally, the closure resulted in a backlog of applications for new licenses and renewals, leaving many residents frustrated and concerned about their ability to legally operate a vehicle.
“We understand the importance of having a valid driver’s license, especially in a rural area like Warren County where public transportation options are limited,” said Sarah Johnson, the director of the Warren County Driver License Office. “We have been working tirelessly to put safety measures in place so that we can reopen our doors and serve the community once again.”
Upon reopening, the office will implement strict safety measures to protect both employees and customers. These measures include mandatory mask-wearing, temperature checks upon entry, social distancing guidelines, and regular sanitation of high-touch surfaces. Additionally, appointments will be required for all services to reduce crowding and wait times.
“We want to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone who walks through our doors,” Johnson added. “By implementing these safety measures, we are confident that we can provide the necessary driver’s license services while minimizing the risk of COVID-19 transmission.”
Residents of Warren County are relieved to hear about the reopening of the driver license office. Many have been struggling to find alternative transportation options or have been driving with expired licenses, risking fines and penalties.
“I’ve been stressing about my expired license for months now,” said Sarah Thompson, a resident of Warren County. “I rely on my car to get to work and run errands, so not having a valid license has been a major inconvenience. I’m thrilled to hear that the office is reopening and I can finally get this sorted out.”
For those who have been waiting to apply for a new driver’s license or renew an expired one, Johnson advises making an appointment as soon as possible.
“We expect a high volume of people needing driver’s license services, so it’s important to book an appointment in advance,” she said. “This will help us manage the flow of customers and ensure that everyone is served in a timely manner.”
The Warren County Driver License Office is scheduled to reopen on Monday, September 14th, with appointments available starting on September 1st. Residents can make an appointment by calling the office or visiting their website.
“We’re excited to reopen our doors and help residents of Warren County get back on the road safely and legally,” Johnson said. “We appreciate everyone’s patience during this challenging time, and we look forward to serving the community once again.”
