New Jersey – In an effort to improve customer service and reduce wait times at Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) locations, the New Jersey MVC has announced a new pilot program for driver’s license renewal appointments. Starting next month, drivers will have the option to schedule an appointment online to renew their driver’s license at select MVC locations across the state.
The pilot program will allow drivers to book a specific time slot for their driver’s license renewal, eliminating the need to wait in long lines at MVC locations. This new system is part of the MVC’s ongoing efforts to modernize its services and streamline the driver’s license renewal process.
“We understand that long wait times at MVC locations can be frustrating for our customers,” said Sue Fulton, Chief Administrator of the New Jersey MVC. “By introducing driver’s license renewal appointments, we hope to make the process more convenient and efficient for drivers across the state.”
To schedule a driver’s license renewal appointment, drivers will need to visit the MVC website and select a location, date, and time for their appointment. Appointments will be available during regular business hours, with evening and weekend slots also being offered at select locations.
In addition to reducing wait times, the new appointment system is also expected to improve customer satisfaction and provide a more personalized experience for drivers renewing their licenses.
