Illegal immigrants in Tennessee faced another setback this week as the state passed a new law prohibiting them from obtaining driver’s licenses. The controversial bill, which has sparked debate across the state, was signed into law by Governor John Doe on Monday.
The bill, known as the “Secure Roads Act,” aims to tighten security measures regarding driver’s licenses in Tennessee. Proponents of the law argue that it is necessary to prevent identity theft and ensure that only legal residents have access to state-issued identification.
