ADA Driver License Office Reopens After COVID-19 Shutdown

ADA, Oklahoma – After months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ADA Driver License Office has finally reopened its doors to the public. The office, located on East 12th Street, had been closed since mid-March as part of statewide efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

The reopening of the ADA Driver License Office comes as a relief to many residents in the area who have been waiting to renew their licenses or take driving exams. With the backlog of appointments and the temporary closure of the office, many residents were left with expired licenses and no way to legally drive.

“We are thrilled to be able to reopen and serve the community once again,” said Sandra Mitchell, the manager of the ADA Driver License Office. “We know that many people have been waiting for us to reopen so they can take care of their license needs. We are committed to providing a safe and efficient experience for all of our customers.”

In order to ensure the safety of both customers and staff, the ADA Driver License Office has implemented a number of new measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These measures include regular sanitization of the office, social distancing protocols, and the requirement of face masks for all customers and staff members.

“We take the health and safety of our customers and staff very seriously,” said Mitchell. “We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel safe and comfortable during their visit. That’s why we have taken these extra precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”

In addition to the new safety measures, the ADA Driver License Office has also extended its hours of operation to accommodate the backlog of appointments. The office is now open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with extended hours on Thursdays until 7:00 pm.

“We understand that many people have been waiting for months to renew their licenses or take driving exams,” said Mitchell. “That’s why we have extended our hours to ensure that everyone who needs our services can get them in a timely manner. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this challenging time.”

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the ADA Driver License Office is determined to provide the best possible service to its customers. With the reopening of the office and the implementation of new safety measures, residents in the area can once again access the essential services they need to stay safe and legal on the road.

“We are here to help you with all of your license needs,” said Mitchell. “Whether you need to renew your license, take a driving exam, or update your information, we are here to assist you. Thank you for your continued support and patience during these unprecedented times. We look forward to serving you at the ADA Driver License Office.”
