AAA Announces Launch of International Driver’s License Appointment System
The American Automobile Association (AAA) has announced the launch of a new online appointment system for obtaining an international driver’s license. The system, which will be available on the AAA website, aims to streamline the process and make it more convenient for travelers who need to obtain an international driver’s license before heading abroad.
The international driver’s license, also known as an International Driving Permit (IDP), is a document that allows motorists to drive in foreign countries where their domestic driver’s license may not be recognized. The IDP is recognized in over 150 countries and serves as a translation of the driver’s license information into multiple languages.
“We are excited to announce the launch of our new online appointment system for international driver’s licenses,” said John Doe, President of AAA. “We understand the importance of making this process as simple and convenient as possible for our members who are planning to travel overseas.”
The new system will allow AAA members to schedule appointments online at their convenience, eliminating the need to visit a physical AAA office or wait in line. Members will be able to choose a date and time that works best for them, and receive a confirmation email with all the necessary information for their appointment.
In addition to scheduling appointments, the online system will also provide members with a checklist of required documents and information, to ensure that they have everything they need before their appointment. This will help to expedite the process and minimize any delays or complications.
“We believe that the online appointment system will make it much easier for our members to obtain an international driver’s license,” said Jane Smith, Director of Member Services at AAA. “By providing a simple and efficient way to schedule appointments and gather the necessary documents, we hope to make the process as stress-free as possible for our members.”
To apply for an international driver’s license through AAA, members must be at least 18 years old and have a valid U.S. driver’s license. The cost of the IDP is $20 for AAA members and $25 for non-members. The document is valid for one year from the date of issue.
“We encourage all travelers who plan to drive overseas to obtain an international driver’s license before their trip,” said John Doe. “Having an IDP can make it much easier to navigate the roads and comply with local regulations in foreign countries.”
The launch of the online appointment system for international driver’s licenses is part of AAA’s ongoing efforts to enhance the services and benefits available to its members. With the new system in place, obtaining an IDP through AAA has never been easier or more convenient.
“We are committed to providing our members with the best possible experience when it comes to obtaining an international driver’s license,” said Jane Smith. “We hope that the new online appointment system will be a valuable resource for our members who are planning to travel abroad.”
Members who are interested in scheduling an appointment for an international driver’s license can visit the AAA website and access the online appointment system. With just a few clicks, they can secure a date and time for their appointment, and be on their way to obtaining an IDP for their upcoming travels.
