Georgia Department of Driver Services Announces New Online Address Update Feature for Driver’s Licenses
ATLANTA, GA – In a move to make it easier for Georgia residents to keep their driver’s license information up to date, the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) has announced a new online address update feature. Starting today, Georgia residents can now update their address on their driver’s license online through the DDS website.
The new online address update feature is part of the DDS’s ongoing efforts to modernize and streamline its services for Georgia residents. With this new feature, Georgia residents no longer have to visit a DDS office in person to update their address on their driver’s license. To update their address online, Georgia residents will need to have their current driver’s license number, their new address information, and a valid email address. Once they have entered this information on the DDS website, they will receive a confirmation email and a new driver’s license with their updated address will be mailed to them within 7-10 business days.
The online address update feature is just the latest in a series of digital initiatives by the DDS to improve customer service and accessibility. In recent years, the DDS has introduced online appointment scheduling, online license renewal, and online driving record requests.
