California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced the launch of the Real ID driver’s license in the state, in compliance with the Federal Real ID Act. The Act, passed by Congress in 2005, establishes security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards to prevent fraudulent use and increase security.
