Utah Driver’s License Change Address Process Made Easier for Residents
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – In a move to streamline services and make it more convenient for residents, the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced changes to the process of updating addresses on driver’s licenses. Utah residents will now have an easier and more efficient way to change their address on their driver’s licenses, thanks to the new online platform that has been launched by the DPS.
Previously, Utah residents had to visit a Driver License Division (DLD) office in person to update their address on their driver’s license. This often meant long wait times and inconveniences for residents who had to take time off work or school to make the trip to the office. However, with the new online platform, residents can now update their address from the comfort of their own homes, saving time and hassle.
“We are always looking for ways to make our services more accessible and convenient for Utah residents,” said Colonel Michael Rapich, Commissioner of the Utah DPS. “By launching this new online platform, we are helping residents save time and effort when it comes to updating their driver’s license information.”
The online platform is user-friendly and intuitive, allowing residents to easily update their address with just a few clicks. To use the platform, residents simply need to log in to their existing account on the Utah DPS website and follow the prompts to update their address. They will need to provide their current driver’s license number, their new address, and any supporting documentation that may be required.
“We understand that life can be busy and hectic, and we want to make it as easy as possible for residents to keep their driver’s license information up to date,” said Rapich. “With this new online platform, residents can quickly and easily update their address without having to take time out of their day to visit a DLD office.”
In addition to the new online platform, the DPS has also extended the deadline for residents to update their address on their driver’s license. Previously, residents had 10 days to update their address after moving to a new location. However, this deadline has now been extended to 30 days, giving residents more time to make the necessary changes.
“We understand that moving can be a stressful time, and we want to give residents a little extra time to update their address on their driver’s license,” said Rapich. “By extending the deadline to 30 days, we are ensuring that residents have ample time to make the necessary changes without facing any penalties.”
Overall, the changes made by the Utah DPS are aimed at making it easier and more convenient for residents to update their address on their driver’s license. By launching an online platform and extending the deadline for address updates, the DPS is putting the needs of residents first and making it simpler for them to access essential services.
“We are committed to providing top-notch services to Utah residents, and these changes are just one example of how we are constantly working to improve our processes,” said Rapich. “We hope that residents will take advantage of the new online platform and the extended deadline to update their address on their driver’s license quickly and easily.”
Residents who have recently moved or need to update their address on their driver’s license are encouraged to visit the Utah DPS website and use the new online platform to make the necessary changes. With these updates in place, residents can rest assured that updating their address on their driver’s license will be a smooth and hassle-free process.
