Washington State Announces New Temporary Driver’s License Program
In a move aimed at providing more flexibility to drivers in Washington State, the Department of Licensing has announced a new temporary driver’s license program. Starting January 1, 2023, residents of Washington State will have the option to apply for a temporary driver’s license that will be valid for up to six months. This program is designed to provide a solution for individuals who may need to drive temporarily for various reasons, such as visiting family members in another state, working a short-term job that requires driving, or waiting for their permanent driver’s license to arrive in the mail.
